Sabi Sand is among the most prestigious private game reserves on the African continent. Established as a private conservancy in the 1950s, it covers approximately 65,000 hectares of bushveld in South Africa. Its unfenced boundary with Kruger National Park creates a de facto wildlife corridor that supports exceptional animal density, including one of the highest concentrations of leopard anywhere in the world. Access is strictly controlled. There are no day visitors. Every guest arrives by prior arrangement, and vehicle numbers in the bush are limited by the reserve's own protocols. The result is an experience that feels genuinely private, even when multiple lodges operate within the same territory.
