Palma is a compact city with distinct residential and architectural characters across its different quarters, and the choice of where to base yourself from a suite shapes the entire tone of the visit.

Pla de Mallorca translates literally as "the plain of Mallorca" and refers to the broad central plateau that stretches between the Serra de Tramuntana to the northwest and the Serres de Llevant to the east. The terrain is flat to gently rolling, planted with almond, fig, and olive trees, and punctuated by towns whose architecture has changed little since the seventeenth century.
