Festen's 2024 renovation stripped the property back to a tone of subdued elegance, favouring warm wood, soft brass and tailored proportions over anything ornamental. Several suites face the Eiffel Tower directly, others connect for families travelling together, and two signature suites occupy the top floor with a private terrace facing the Iron Lady, reserved for those who want Paris at a distance.

Downstairs, the rhythm shifts: a secret bar, a cocooning lounge, a Japanese spa unlike anything else on the avenue, and the Michelin-starred table of Pierre Gagnaire. The neighbourhood does the rest, steps from the Champs Élysées yet shielded from its noise. La Suite selected the Balzac for this exact tension: a historic avenue, reinterpreted through restraint. The Balzac is not loud. It simply does not need to be.
