20 of the rooms have a balcony or deck (Superior and Beachfront 2-bedroom only) overlooking the water.

This hotel has 43 guest rooms including ten 5* Luxury Villas. The rooms are a good size, and all have private bathrooms. 37 of the rooms have a balcony with 19 rooms overlooking the water.

The hotel has 1 restaurant for guests which offers a lovely selection of traditional New Zealand cuisine including many seafood specialties. The Sands Bar & Restaurant is the perfect venue to enjoy a meal with a view as it overlooks the water and the dunes across the bay.

The Sands Hotel Hokianga is ideally located to explore all that the Hokianga Harbor area has to offer, including the surrounding forests, dunes and sandbar.
