Junior Suite, Elia Mykonos Resort, Áno Merá

At 35 square metres, the Junior Suite at Elia Mykonos Resort operates as a precise reduction of Cycladic architecture, nothing added that the geometry doesn't require, nothing removed that the body might need. The whitewashed volumes that define the resort's exterior continue inward, meeting tiled floors and beamed ceilings that slow and scatter Aegean light across the room in a way no artificial source could replicate.

Material World

The suite's material palette is drawn from the island itself: raw plaster walls with the faint texture of a working hand, ceramic surfaces that hold the morning cool well into the afternoon, and timber beams overhead that carry a structural honesty rarely found in resort interiors. The discipline of the Mykonian vernacular is legible in every junction, where wall meets floor, where light meets shadow.

The View as Architecture

Positioned within a property that sits directly on one of Mykonos's longest sandy stretches, the suite's orientation treats the Aegean not as backdrop but as a structural element. The exterior enters the room as filtered brightness, as salt-carried air, as the particular quality of silence that only open water produces. Olive and palm-lined gardens mediate this relationship with considered restraint.

Exclusive Rituals

Guests of the Junior Suite move through a resort conceived as a coherent whole: private beach access, a full-service spa, and Mediterranean dining held within the same design vocabulary as the room itself. For a stay accommodating up to three, the suite's single bathroom and bedroom define a compact but unhurried domestic logic, suited to those who understand that luxury, in the Cyclades, has always been a matter of subtraction.
