Superior Junior Suite, Elia Mykonos Resort, Áno Merá

The Superior Junior Suite at Elia Mykonos Resort occupies 47 square metres of considered Cycladic space, a geometry of whitewashed walls, exposed timber beams, and hand-laid tilework that reads less as décor and more as a structural argument for restraint. Light enters at angles particular to the Aegean latitude, crossing surfaces with the deliberate quality of a sundial, shifting the room's character from morning cool to afternoon gold.

Material World

The palette is determined by the island itself: limestone whites, raw terracotta, and the unpolished warmth of aged wood overhead. Surfaces throughout prioritise texture over ornament, a discipline consistent with the resort's broader refusal to perform luxury through accumulation. What is present is precisely chosen; what is absent is equally intentional.

Spatial Poetry

Configured for up to four occupants within a single bedroom and bathroom, the suite maintains a spatial logic that separates without fragmenting. Volume is used as a moderating force, ceilings high enough to breathe, proportions that avoid the compression common to island accommodation at this category. The bathroom functions as a private chamber rather than an afterthought, continuing the same material language as the living space.

Exclusive Rituals

Guests have direct access to Elia beach, one of Mykonos's most extended sandy stretches, along with the resort's full-service spa and Mediterranean dining. These amenities exist within a coherent design vocabulary rather than as isolated facilities, each touchpoint an extension of the same architectural sensibility.

The View as Architecture

The surrounding olive and palm gardens act as a visual filter, softening the transition between the built environment and the Aegean horizon. The exterior does not interrupt the interior, it completes it.
